Classroom Activities—A Blooming Good Bunch

To build class pride, display this flowery artwork with the title "We're a Blooming Good Bunch."

  • Westcott 5” Kids scissors
  • close-up photo
  • paper cupcake liner
  • 9" x 12" light blue construction paper
  • 2" x 9" green construction paper strip
  • green construction paper scraps
  • crayons or markers

Hint: To turn the artwork into a Mother's Day card, staple another piece of construction paper to the back. Then invite students to write about ways that their families have helped them bloom and grow!

Step 1
Fringe-cut the green construction paper strip (grass) and glue it to the blue construction paper.

Step 2
Trim the photo to fit inside the cupcake liner (ask your teacher for help). Fringe-cut the cupcake liner and glue the photo inside. Use the green paper scraps to make a stem and leaves.
